Online abstract submission has been closed.

The last date of abstract submission is extended to 15th October, 2019 (due to bad weather conditions in different parts of the country). No abstracts will be accepted after this deadline.

Free papers

Oral presentation:
  • The aim of this session is to encourage post-graduates and young faculty members to present research papers and is meant for the non-award papers only.
  • The presenting author should be a member of IAPM and should have registered for APCON 2019 (IAPM event). If the author is a non-member and wishes to present the paper, then he/she should apply for IAPM membership in advance and at the earliest. Each member can present only one paper (either oral or poster and not both).
  • All abstracts to be uploaded on the website using online portal.
  • The abstract should be written in English only.
  • The word count limit for abstract is maximum of 250 words.
  • The abstract should be submitted under the heads: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion (for original studies/case series); Introduction, Case description, Conclusion (for case reports).
  • There is no need to send hard copies/CDs of abstract by post to the conference secretariat.
  • The last date of abstract submission is 15th October, 2019. No abstracts will be accepted after this deadline.
  • Include one subspecialty from the following list according to the topic of your abstract:
    • Autopsy Pathology,
    • Bones/Joints/Soft Tissue Pathology,
    • Dermatopathology,
    • Endocrine Pathology,
    • Gastrointestinal Pathology,
    • Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Pathology,
    • Laboratory Medicine (includes Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Immunology and Hematology),
    • Lymphoreticular Pathology,
    • Microbiology,
    • Molecular Pathology,
    • Nephropathology,
    • Neuropathology,
    • Pediatric Pathology,
    • Thoracic and cardio-vascular pathology,
    • Uro-genital pathology (including gynaecological pathology)
    • Breast Pathology,
    • Cytopathology,AND
    • Others
  • The number of cases/patients for a free oral paper should be more than ten; otherwise it will be convertedto the poster category.
  • Table and Graphs/Line art:
    • Graphs/line arts may be submitted with a maximum file size is 10 MB with a resolution of minimum 800 dpi. They are allowed in the following formats: PNG, GIF, JPG.
    • Tables are allowed with a maximum size of 10 columns x 10 rows. Characters in your table will NOT count towards your 250 word count.
    • Tables should be added using the tool in the submitter and not as an image file.
    • Your abstract may contain two (2) graphics. You will be allowed to upload either two (2) graphs/line art, two (2) tables, or one (1) graphs/line art and one (1) table.
    • No gross/microscopic images are allowed with abstract submission.
  • All abstracts are peer reviewed, and the IAPM reserves the right to assign it as oral or poster presentation.
  • By submitting the abstract, it is presumed that the presenting author has the consent of his/her coauthor(s) for presenting the paper in APCON 2019.
  • On the basis of the consensus received from the screening committee members and Secretary IAPM, Secretary Organizing Committee shall prepare the final list of papers to be presented. Accepted abstracts will be listed on the conference web-site by 31st October 2019. Abstracts may be withdrawn by a written communication via conference email (info@apcon2019.com) by 15th October, 2019.
  • The abstract shall be reproduced in conference brochure exactly as submitted. No editing or proof reading of the submitted abstract shall be done.
  • After the deadline for abstract submission is over, no change shall be permitted in the abstract.
  • All accepted abstracts shall be published in the conference brochure – which may either be in hard copy or soft copy.
  • After acceptance of the abstract if the presenting author is unable to present, then with the prior permission from the honorary Secretary of IAPM, one of the co-author(s) shall be permitted to present in his/her place.
  • There will be a total of seven minutes for oral presentation and two minutes for discussion. All participants should finish in the time allotted.
Poster presentation:

Abstracts may be withdrawn by a written communication via conference email (info@apcon2019.com) by 15th October, 2019.
  • Size of the poster will be conveyed in the confirmation mail of acceptance.
  • A total of ten posters will be selected for platform presentation by a selection committee prepared by the honorary secretary of IAPM. The presentation shall be for five minutes (three minutes for presentation and two minutes for discussion). All who will be presenting their poster should be prepared for the oral presentation for this.
